We've just come back from the Northern snow show - What a weekend!
This is going to be a super short post.
Meeting our users where they love to be - on the snow! We chatted to families going on their first trip to friends who all had that one member of their group that kept getting lost. A truly diverse set of people. It made us appreciate that every user has their own needs, and with enough listening we could explain why piste was for them!
We had the stats junkies, the off piste power hunters who wanted to plan their routes between runs, the partners who wanted to relex at the spa and whilst checking on their other half is still throwing themselves down blacks.
We genuinely did not talk to one person who did not see value in what we could offer them.
Shout out to the Oakley guys next door to us, the other exhibitors who made the event special and for the Snow Center Manchester for allowing a uk technology company to host a leaderboard on their slope! I hope to one day write a behind the scenes insight into the sleep depraved crunch it took to pull it off in time.
The cold! It may come as a surprise... well it did to us - standing in a 100m freezer for 8 hours wasn't the wisest choice for a weekend. My legs still hurt!
As you may know, we were running a several competitions on the manchester ski slopes.
Congratulations to Sam and Shawn on winning our giveaway Plushies. Sam's daughter convinced her to stay until the draw at 3pm as she had a feeling she'd win!
And a Huge round of applause to Guy who topped our leaderboard during the event. He was one smooth cucumber with a whopping score of 5,767!
Even if you did not win, just know you were all part of something great!
We were camped opposite the Oakley jib park complete with rails, traffic cones and boxes. But no one was witnessing the epic teachings of Jamie Nicholls (UK Olympic Slopestyle), we'd love to see a hype man / PA announce the schedule on the park next year.
We'd also stick some of our stickers in the premium bags like an evil tooth fairy.
Until next year!
