The navigation bar is made up of 5 icons:
These icons represent the different sections of Piste.
This is the Map screen where you see your friends and all the runs and resorts in Piste. It should be considered the 'Home' screen.
This is where you manage and view the Ski Resorts you want to track. This section provides detailed information on the runs and lifts in a ski resort as well as showing your overall completion rate of each resort.
This is where you manage and view your friend groups and the associated settings. You can create and join ski groups here and share your location with each other.
This is where you can view your skiing history. Detailed statistics and map of your tracks are displayed here.
This is where you can manage the app's settings, profile and see various legal documentation.
To navigate between sections simply tap on the corresponding icon, each section independently remembers its position so you can easily flick back and forth without losing your progress.
The map screen should be considered the main screen and is packed deep with features despite its apparent simplicity.
The visible buttons on the screen are as follows:
The search bar can be used to quickly find runs and lifts in Piste. See the search bar section for more info.
You can toggle the visibility of various ski groups on the map using this control.
Use this button to quickly find your current location on the map.
Use this to quickly start tracking your day's skiing. Press it again to stop tracking.

The search engine returns results for the resorts you have installed. It runs locally so you can use it without signal.
Some examples of things you can search:
Clicking on a search result will take you to its location on the map.
The resort list displays all the resorts you have installed. One resort can be your 'Default' resort and is the resort the map will display when opening Piste.
To add a resort click the + button, to remove a resort swipe a resort to the left.
And simply tap a resort to go into the resort details page.
The resort details is the go to hub for all the resort information on Runs, Lifts and Challenges.
You can switch between the views by swiping to the left or right or by using the tab bar.

The summary tab displays the current weather and snow in the resort as well as your progression on
completing the resort.
Piste tracks every run, lift and challenge in the resort and you can see handy totals as well as a
graph. The grey component of each graph represents partially completed items.
A full screen completion map can be accessed from this summary screen also.
The Runs tab displays all the named runs in the resort.
Each run has the following information:
The Lifts tab displays all the lifts in the resort.
Each lift has the following information:
The challenge tab displays all the challenges in the resort for you to complete.
Each challenge has the following information:
The completion map displays an overview of the areas you have visited in the resort. Tracks, lifts and challenges are themed in a red/green color scheme
To add a resort click the + button, to remove a resort swipe a resort to the left.
And simply tap a resort to go into the resort details page.
This screen displays the ski groups you have joined or created. Ski Groups is how your location is shared with your friends, your location is visible whilst recording to all your friends in all groups.
To add or join a group click the + button, to leave a group swipe a group to the left.
And simply tap a group to go into the group details page.
This screen displays the details of the ski group you have selected. Clicking the top burger dots opens various group management options
The top card shows
The list of participants shows all the friends in the group. Clicking a user offers various management options.
The leader board requires the group itself to be a premium group (an administrator in the group will need to be a premium user to be accessible). This enables data sharing between all members in the group and individual premium membership is not required to access the leaderboard. The leaderboards can be explored in the following way
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Resort completion | Compare the total exploration of the resort; this is the total percentage of runs, lifts, and challenges completed. |
| Speed | Compare the maximum on-piste speed. To prevent accidental speeds from transport and ski buses, this must be achieved on a recognised piste. |
| Distance | Compare the total distance travelled on recognised pistes and lifts within the resort (not total GPS distance, for the above reason). |
| Challenges | Compare the challenges completed in the resort; you can tap a name to see a full summary. |
| Runs | Compare the combined number of runs visited in the resort. Skiing the same run twice counts as two. |
| Lifts | Compare the combined number of lifts ridden in the resort. Riding the same lift twice counts as two. |
This screen displays the days you have recorded using piste The list is organized into trips where the starting resort is the same.
To record a new session, go to the map screen and click the start skiing button. Swipe a date to delete that day's data (this cannot be undone) Tab a date to view that day's session in detail
This screen displays the details of the day you spent skiing. There are various widgets and graphs available on this screen
Exporting data requires a premium membership

| GPX | This exports the GPS track, the speed at each point, and the altitude at each point. |
| KML | This exports the raw GPS track as KML. |
| CSV | This exports the raw GPS track, altitude, and speed as a CSV file for data analysis. |
