This is a really common issue on android, so much so we wrote a handy guide! Simply follow the instructions for your make of phone. If your phone is not listed: Best places to check are "Battery Management" and turn off any 'background management' or 'Optimizations' for Piste. Or Pin Piste in your app switcher (This allows it to run with your screen off). Don't worry! Piste is really efficient at managing battery usage itself.
Keep piste running in the background
No problem, simply tap the incorrect run and scroll to "Report a problem" fill in the short form and
it'll get fixed.
